why oh why won't whatever this sickness is just go away? started last tuesday morning...and it keeps getting worse. guess my body wasn't ready for those east coast germs...i never get sick out here, but whenever i head east, something catches me. i have drank so much water...my germs must be olympic swimmers, because they shoud've drowned by now...

i am off to roadtrip it up to oregon and washington this afternoon. first to smith rocks for three days of climbing, then to portland to visit friends and explore, then to seattle and bellingham to search for a possible place to move to. i have been plotting to move away from sacramento since i arrived here. there's just something about this town that just doesn't do it for me...for the state capital of california, it is seriously lacking in culture. and the big items on the 'alissa list' are lacking. it only has one natural foods store (and a crummy one at that), no yoga studios, a horrible library, and too many yuppie stay at home moms...oh, too hard to explain, but it isn't IT. and i am still looking for that IT place. considering portland - a fabulous city (with public transportation that works!), or possibly a more rural area in northern washington. the country/city debate i have. hell, after all that has happened, vancouver BC isn't sounding too bad, either....

there likely won't be updates for awhile - til next wednesday. but i am sure there will be plenty of interesting stuff here here here and all those places with those thoughtful, smart, funny people...i hope y'all have a fabulous week + , don't eat too many pop tarts, brush your teeth, avoid swimming germs, tell people important to you how much they mean to you, and eat your veggies (except lima beans. you are excused from those). and i will be back soon enough... :)
